This is a photo of the lava entering the sea near Kapaahu taken from the end of Chain of Craters Road--the closest the Park Service allows visitors to get to the molten lava. This was the last stop in the excellent Volcanoes National Park tour conducted by Lee and Betty Meyerson of Hawaiian Eyes Land Tours.
