 Eggs and newly hatched chicks in a Maiasaura ("good mother lizard") nest on display in the recently remodeled dinosaur exhibit at the Natural History Museum. The chicks are only 14 inches (35.5 cm) long and weigh about 1.5 pounds (.7 kg). When they reach maturity they'll be 29 feet (9 meters) and will weigh 2 tons (1814 k). |
